Youth Tournament

(Open to all students under 18)

When: May 19th, 2018

Where: Main Dojo 12754 Bel-Red Rd, Bellevue, WA 98005

Start times: Session 1: 9am - 11am

Session 2: 11:45am - 1:45pm

Competitors will be assigned their session after registration closes

Entry fee: $35 first child per family

$25 second child per family

$20 each additional child per family

All participants will receive a trophy for kumite and a medal for kata! Only 80 spots available so register soon!!! Registration closes on April 30th, 2018!

All competitors will be competing in kumite, a light contact form of point sparring to show their punching, kicking, and blocking techniques! The dojo will supply head gear and mitts, but you are welcome to supply your own protective gear. Then, we will move into the kata competition.

 

Here, your student will be able show off their speed, balance, and grace in performing one of the many kata (an established set of movements simulating a fight against multiple opponents) that they have learned in the last year. This is a great way for your child to show what they have been learning for the past year, in a safe, but competitive format. Tournament competition builds pride, esteem, and is a lot of fun for both the kids and the parents!
